Samples In My Possession
I was on Sephora.com today, scoping out something to buy for the VIB sale, when I forced myself to remember all of the unused product lying dormant in my Tupperware drawer.
I also was at TJ Maxx last night looking for a new bottle of shampoo and I found two new Algenist products I wanted to try.

Glossier
"Skin first, makeup second" that's what IVE always said!
A simple makeup line that you apply with your fingers....something I can really get into without feeling overwhelmed. <3 it.

crimped hair day 2
Oh my gosh I love this heat tool. Because my hair holds a curl so well, the second day is king.
The style looks almost identical to the overnight braid of my youth aka beautiful.
Tomorrow I'm considering recording my first youtube video :/ depends on my confidence levels... I just watch sooooo much youtube, I figured it was time to try my hand.
And duh! The iron I used is the Bedhead Wave Artist, $24.99 at Walmart.

old news brunette
Almost exactly a year ago, I FINALLY turned my back on a fifteen year affair of routinely bleaching the life out of my hair.
I can honestly say I haven't regretted my return to the dark side for a second. Feels good to get back to my roots, quite literally.
Shiny, thick, and healthy > blonde and ratty.

thank you brittney the beauty guru
Favorite shampoo and conditioner EVER.
This was all they would ever talk about on my sister chat line so I finally grabbed it at Target.
Seriously, I wash my hair and let it air dry, and then DONE.
It dries so good.
While we're at it; my favorite lotion. It's embarrassing that this is the generic version, but in my defense they were all out of Jergens. And besides the dollar store lotion smell, I find it works almost as well!
Not beauty related but if you're constantly dehydrated and detest drinking water, I have a tip for you.
Pop some air popped popcorn, spray it with spray butter for taste and so your toppings will stick (lately I've been using olive oil cause I'm out of butter. It actually tastes better and it's healthy), and then load on the cayenne pepper. Your mouth will be on FIRE for real though! Haha one serving of popcorn and I've downed a pint and a half of water easy!
It's not that I hate water, cause I love water! I just cannot stand room temp water. Ugh, it gives me actual headaches you guys. And working at the airport with no fridge it's all I can have.
But when my mouths on fire? I'm just happy to have water. Ya know ya know??
Seeya around!

THE BALM makeup. Love it. Get to Marshalls asap.
You guys.
The Balm is a mid end cosmetics line that isn't too well known (but they should be!)
Usually only to be found at select Sephora's or online, but now for a limited time only (assumption) you can find it at Marshalls or TJ Maxx for a super discounted price.
I.Am.Obsessed. youdontevenknow
I keep going back for more cause I love everything I buy.
Here be some of my favorites.
These three came in a set for $20.
Hot Mama Blush. If you know your makeup, this blush is often compared to Nars Orgasm (which is probably the most famous blush ever) just without the sparkles. It's a peachy pink with hints of gold and it supposedly flatters every skin color.
Bahama Mama Bronzer. This bronzer isn't really a sweep-all-over-your-face type for me, just cause I have fair skin and it's quite dark. Instead I use it for contouring. Completely matte not a sparkle in sight.
Sexy Mama anti-shine translucent powder. So silky and leaves me shine free for quite a while.
These are the other Balm products I own.
Two Shady Lady eyeshadows *the eyeshadows are probably the lines most famous product. They're known to be super pigmented and just real high quality.*
Hot Ticket nail polish, Cheater mascara, Balms Away eye makeup remover, Plump lip gloss, mini kabuki brush, and a Sexpot overshadow.
The only thing I don't recommend is the makeup remover, I just hated everything about it.
Well there you go guys. If I had any money I'd probably be out buying more instead of writing this post.

MY FAVORITE. The Mary-Lou Manizer. Words cannot explain how much I love this product. I had never used a powder luminizer before and now I have seen the light.
It's an incredibly pigmented, silky champagne color. You barely have to use any for it to show up, this thing is gonna last me forevah.
*Excuse my blank stare in the following photos, for I'm an insomniac and had just woken up after 3 hours of sleep. And also the low quality pictures. Just deal okay.
So this is my face with just concealer and Smashbox Halo powder which I use as my foundation. No eye makeup.
Blank canvas.
I contoured my face with the bronzer applying it right underneath my cheekbones, very top of forehead blending into hairline, and jawline. The most important thing is to BLEND, this stuff is dark so light hand it and blend otherwise it'll look like ya got dirt on your face.
Then the blush which I applied to the apples of my cheeks blending upwards along the cheekbone.
Next, I swept the luminzer along the tops of the cheekbone (again, light handed. This stuff is pigmented remember?), inner corners of eyes, brow bone, and along the cupids bow above top lip.
To end it all, the anti-shine powder, which I swept over the areas that tend to get oily, like nose and chin.
Don't you love it? I love it.

baby powder and mascara
The other day I googled how to get fuller looking lashes, and came across this technique.
I mentioned something about it to my sister and she acted as if it was common knowledge.
Goodness.
No one ever tells me anything around here.

This is what you do:
1. Apply a coat of mascara.
2. With finger, kinda brush/pat/cake a layer of baby powder onto the wet mascara
2. With finger, kinda brush/pat/cake a layer of baby powder onto the wet mascara
repeat 3X.
Or even more, depends how thick and dramatic you want them.
