My results were surprising to me, but then I had the wrong idea about what each house represented.
I always (recent always) pegged myself as a Hufflepuff? Back when the book series was live Hufflepuff was always seen as a joke, but in recent times it's been branded as the easy going "stoner" house, which I guess is why I related. But after reading the descriptions, Hufflepuff is still hella lame. Niceness and loyalty, pffft.
Ravenclaw is my jam.
As for Erik, I knew he'd either be Gryffindor or Slytherin. He's just annoying like that ;)

btw I'm really wanting to buy the illustrated Harry Potter books. They look MAGICAL.

  I didn't know how to brush my teeth. Look how little and yellow they are. My face is also a lot thinner now tho.

Eyebrows were thinner.

Have always had blemishes on my chin.

As much as I love turquoise, I cannot spell it. Thank you auto correct.

So Erik gave me a T bracelet for Christmas, Birgitta then surprise gifted me with a Tibetan T choker, and then reminded E of a couple of raw T stones a family friend gifted him as a child, which reminded me of the T stone my pops gifted me once upon a time. Sadly, I have no idea of the history behind the stone, I'll have to ask during my AZ visit at the end of the month!

Almost exactly a year ago, I FINALLY turned my back on a fifteen year affair of routinely bleaching the life out of my hair. I can honestly say I haven't regretted my return to the dark side for a second. Feels good to get back to my roots, quite literally. Shiny, thick, and healthy > blonde and ratty.

christmas '16

For gifts, Erik gifted me a beautiful sterling and turquoise cuff bracelet from Blair House. Very lovely, at least 100 years old, cherished forever and ever!! Richard gave me some thoughtful books (all regarding conversations we'd had previously), and a family tree DNA test at a later time. And then Birgitta made me an absolutely stunning lamp/light made out of an old wine bottle. There were other gifts but these were my most cherished. I cross stitched a bookmark for both Birgitta and Richard, and I must testify that homemade gifts are SOO much more enjoyable, both on the giving and the receiving end. A belated merry christmas to all!! xoxo

christmasy related way after the fact

Beyond tired of wrestling with these photos! 

Currently feeling anxious about life.

1. Money. Of. Course. I was between jobs at the beginning of the month and really fell behind on earning money for bills. And then of course Christmas happened and I used my credit card entirely too much, which is shared with Jordan and I don't want him to be worried about it etc etc etc..... gah. 

2. New years resolution: Pay off credit card.

**Fatigue** haha I'm already tired of writing. My return to blogging will have to be slow and steady so lets wrap this post up.

Besides going through a small period of depression this year (wheres my family? why am I not in Arizona?) The holidays were actually really great this year in Knoxville.

Erik's parents bought us a tree that we all four decorated while baking a gingerbread house and cookies.

I got a lot family xmas cards in the mail as well as an incredibly thoughtful gift from Kal.
