Heat

This is how I feel anytime I am uncomfortably warm:

It is hot, hot like I will need emergency services. It's a lonesome and detestable heat, a broad, blinding heat, like being tied to a post at a crossroad. Like there is no shelter, no friend. No help in sight. Just me, left to burn.
