rita hayworth dress

This dress just kinda reminded me of something Rita Hayworth would wear, I think its the neckline and puffy shoulders.

I hate so much that it's too short to wear to church.

On an unrelated note, I made a list of the things I dislike most in this world cause I'm a negative, negative person:

red apples
awkward phone convos
room temp water
Sugarland
plain greek yogurt (blech)
homesickness

and that's only a few of 'em.

findadeath.com. Feeling like a conspiracy theorist and a little bit morbid.

It's hazy but I'm almost positive I haven't taken one step outside today.
I've been sitting here reading about celebrity deaths all the day long.

what a great day.

findadeath.com is my new favorite website.
If you have any interest in Hollywood folklore or just trivia in general you will love it.
And the guy who runs it is hil.arious, he's all over the place finding and taking pictures of death scenes, old hollywood houses and gravesites. Oh and he also takes things from the sites and claims them as souvenirs like rocks and pieces of wood. This guy is my hero.

And don't think I'm lying when I say I've been reading this website ALL day. I'm not even embarrassed.

james dean merch

1. I have no idea where this glass cup came from. It has Chinese (?) symbols on the side.
2. A tin. I keep my patches in it.
3. Got it at Goodwill, great addition to my coffee table book collection.

4. Ashley won this for me from a vending machine.
5. Pretty sure these were Ashley's
6. Bingham sister classic. I think it started with Tristine and has been hanging in one of our rooms ever since.

I got ridiculed on Facebook for this.
DID YOU KNOW?

  • Jimmy died 56 years ago today.
  • Jimmy dated Jerry's mom on the t.v. show Seinfield. Yeah. She wrote a book called Dizzy And Jimmy, it was good.
  • Jimmy was bisexual. In case you've wondered whether that rumor is true (cause it often isn't) it is!
  • Elvis Presley idolized him and was part of the reason why Elvis wanted to be an actor in the first place. 31 awesome movies to follow.
  • And he had the best hair.

rita hayworth's ethnic makeover

"Rita Hayworth was a famous movie star in the 1930s and 40s, but before her career could develop into full stardom she had to go through a lengthy and difficult transformation from her Latina ethnicity to the "American" version we all identify her with. She had two years of extensive, painful electrolysis to change her hairline, skin bleaching (also painful) to lighten her skin color, and of course hair color change. Finally, to make the transition complete, her name was changed from Margarita Carmen Cansino to Rita Hayworth."
