james dean merch
2. A tin. I keep my patches in it.
3. Got it at Goodwill, great addition to my coffee table book collection.
5. Pretty sure these were Ashley's
6. Bingham sister classic. I think it started with Tristine and has been hanging in one of our rooms ever since.

| I got ridiculed on Facebook for this. |
- Jimmy died 56 years ago today.
- Jimmy dated Jerry's mom on the t.v. show Seinfield. Yeah. She wrote a book called Dizzy And Jimmy, it was good.
- Jimmy was bisexual. In case you've wondered whether that rumor is true (cause it often isn't) it is!
- Elvis Presley idolized him and was part of the reason why Elvis wanted to be an actor in the first place. 31 awesome movies to follow.
- And he had the best hair.

real cool walker
Today I was running late, and I really detest walking into class late, everyone turns around and stares. Two strides behind me I noticed a boy in the same class. Yes, I thought, someone later than me. But nope, this boy proceeded to hike through the desert MCC landscape, clambering/power walking over the numerous five foot hills that were not meant to be walked through. Way to ruin everything nerd.
That kid really did not want to be late!

rita hayworth's ethnic makeover
"Rita Hayworth was a famous movie star in the 1930s and 40s, but before her career could develop into full stardom she had to go through a lengthy and difficult transformation from her Latina ethnicity to the "American" version we all identify her with. She had two years of extensive, painful electrolysis to change her hairline, skin bleaching (also painful) to lighten her skin color, and of course hair color change. Finally, to make the transition complete, her name was changed from Margarita Carmen Cansino to Rita Hayworth."

you look swell honey but I look sweller
Man oh man, today was boresville.
Yesterday I was at D.I. where I bought the three records you see up top.
Grease was scratched beyond repair so I made a bowl out of it, which was surprisingly easy. And then the album art I stuck on my wall.
What else did I do today?
I went to stake conference, ate dinner, watched a couple movies including Bonnie and Clyde (Warren Beatty was a stud), and now I'm laying on my bed dreading school tomorrow.

ghetto tips by holly
| Before. Notice the armpits. |

Moral of the story: Examine what you buy before you buy it, or end up camouflaging armpit stains with a black marker.

desperado writings in a book
I bought a book on Amazon and it not only had a phone number on the cover but also, "Can I come to your house Sunday night?" on the inside.
I like to imagine the kind of people I buy stuff from. What a sad life you must lead if you're hitting on your Amazon customers.
Now I'm more than aware that that's probably not what the message was about, but STILL, what if it was??
Side Note: I just watched a movie online called Elvis and Annabelle, SO GOOD. Seriously ch check it out! Don't worry, it has nothing to do with my boyfriend Elvis P. Although the kid in the movie did wear a pinky ring, which I like to think was a homage to the king.

the honeydrippers
This is great guys.
So in the early 1980's the president of Atlantic Records, Ahmet Ertegun, and Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin) realized they both had a love for 50's rock and soul music. They got together a group of super musicians (Jimmy Page included) and recorded a five-song EP titled Volume One.
They're all real good but I cannot stop listening to this one! The guy in the speedo, awkwardly standing by the xylophone, really takes the cake.
Aaaaaand the Phil Phillips original for good measure.
Aaaah heaven to my ears.

junk drawer charm bracelet
These knick knacks have been hanging around my jewelry box foreverz.
Most of em' are pendants I wore everyday at one point and some of them are just junk charms I probably found on the floor.
I bought jump rings and then just attached them all to the chain.

crying eating a cheeseburger
Blaaaah I'm home alone right now, terrified, and I don't even know where Kensie is to protect me. Not that she would, that dog hates me.
My face is zitty, my mom weaved my hair today, and I have a giant math test on Monday. The end.
And that's a clay mask on my face btw.

It's Buddy Holly's Birthday!
Happy 75th to my namesake!
I tried making a mix but apparently 8tracks is the worst website on the planet and wouldn't let me.
This is my favorite Buddy Holly song EVER. So listen to it.

I hate you goodwill
Does Goodwill piss anyone else off? I don't like they're attitude. They act all mighty, but guess what? D.I. is a billion times better. Plus the sickly sweet smell in all Goodwills, makes me wanna vomit.
These pictures crack me up, they're just so awful. You can't really see how pretty the dress is, it just looks bunchy and kinda like MC Hammmer pants.
I showed the dress to Karlee and she wasn't a fan, "you're not gonna wear that to church are you?" whatever Karl!

neat stuff on eBay I wish I could buy
Maybe if someone would love the poor sap that is me and give me a job.
And my personal favorite:
Can you tell I'm really big on coins and charm bracelets right now? I'm in the process of collecting state quarters, and you know what I've noticed? Where are the freaking Arizona quarters?? I've seen ONE since they came out in 08', someone must be hoarding them somewhere.

these is my plans
When I get married and have a family and a life, I've already decided three things.
1. The walls in my home will be wallpapered
2. No carpet, gross, all wood floors.
and
3. Our, every other, summer vacation will be a cross country road trip!
The first two are trivial and subject to change but the third I'm. Dead. Set. On.
Imagine the knowledge and appreciation my kids will have for the U. S. of A.
American music and other pop culture landmarks (think GRACELAND)
Nauvoo
Montana
Gettysburg and other historical landmarks
New England
NYC............
Gosh dangit, I love America.
