email from pops

It seems like most mornings I wake up and watch as the light in my room slowly increases. Usually I doze off and on for a while until I fully wake up and my mind becomes active. It's a pleasant experience as I think about the coming day and the anticipations I have. Always I end up thinking of Mom and you kids and usually I'm given to mentally compose a letter to one, several or all of you. I always end with a prayer that you all will find happiness in your day and find joy in family and service. In my prayer I usually ask that Heavenly Father will find ways that will soften your hearts, that you will be humble and contrite, that the Spirit will be able to teach and impress on you the spirit of the laws He has given us and that there are ever higher laws to live, each one drenched in the blessings He wants us to enjoy. As I think about it I realize that we are perhaps first taught to live the letter of a law, like being prayerful, fasting or keeping the sabbath day holy or even the word of wisdom. But, the letter of any of Gods laws is only meant to help us experiment with true principles until we see their benefit and how they enhance us, make us better. Then we move into a higher level of obedience where we see, understand and begin to live by the spirit of that law. We are no longer forced by guilt, fear or social pressure but our desires have become holy and will bring us ever closer, step by step to those Devine qualities of which we are spiritually genetically disposed. Isn't life wonderful. Mom and I are looking forward to seeing all of you, that can be at Grandmas funeral. It will be an enjoyable time and perhaps the last time that so many of us will gather in one place. I love you all, Dad

making my hair frizzier

Aka bleaching the brown out of it.
I go to Lindsey Kinsey of The Blonde Olive who was actually referred to me by Ruthie, a girl I work with.

Really contemplating whether I'm gonna dye my hair back to brown when I go to Europe. We shall see

Feelings

This whole blog has just become selfies selfies selfies. Because I'm lazyyyy. Just wait until I get insurance ;) (lol, only I will ever understand what that means) (hopefully)
But yeah, rejection is the prominent feeling this week. It's hard for me, as a person who rarely puts herself out there, to get rejected. Quite the blow to the self esteem. I'll live though :)

the return to knoxville

After driving back from Kentucky, Tris and I drove to Kenny Chesney's hometown. Pretty much a blipp on the map kinda town.
Kenny's high school football stadium in Corryton, TN
Luttrell, where his actual residence was. This sign was the only Kenny clue in either towns.
We went to Brixx Pizza.
Tasty!
Walked around the lake in my apartment complex.
Cracker Barrel. I remember we were deliriously tired so everything was hilarious. I filled out an application because they were hiring but then the lady rejected me cause I could only work mornings. Her loss! Also, these old people kept staring at my short shorts, judging me. Like my Grandma Lawlor used to do ha!
Including this seemingly random pic to commemorate the fun time we had tracking down some postcard stamps. "Crappy Fayet" hahaha such good times. I love my sister.

Just cuz I'm bored at work

Wore pants for the first time in awhile. Uncomfortable but so cute.
Work outfit. My hate for this uniform is fiery.
Love it
Also from the day I wore pants

Just an ugly power plant
home of the Hatfield & McCoy legacy
Just to go to Shoney's on a wednesday night
love me a complimentary sucker. especially ones that taste like cough medicine (really though)
This was cool
Traveling with Tris is so fun because it feels so leisure. We do whatever she wants to do AND whatever I want to do. We follow no intinerary, just have a general plan when we set out that we add and subtract to as we see fit. This road trip with her really has inspired me to travel. Such an enjoyable time!
