I didn't know this but awhile back George Jones totally dissed some of today's 'country' stars (specifically Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood.) Saying, "they've stolen our identity.""They had to use something that was established already, and that's traditional country music. So what they need to do really, I think, is find their own title, because they're definitely not traditional country music."

F'real though, every genre in the mainstream sounds like pop to me. Pop is all fine and dandy but come on, when I listen to the country music station I wanna listen to country music.
